Ghyll Scrambling

The Lake District has some of the finest ghylls in the country; with such a broad range there is a ghyll just for you and your adventure. We know everyone is completely unique, with our experience and knowledge of the many exciting venues, we can help guide you when making your choice of adventure. All you have to do is arrive with a smile and an enthusiasm for adventure. We will do the rest.

Ghyll scrambling involves scrambling up or down a mountain stream or river (ghyll). You will jump down waterfalls, slide down rock chutes, swim, scramble, crab-crawl or traverse ledges, climb up or down and dive – yes, dive your way during your adventure. One thing is for sure; it will be wet and fun. The big decision is whether you want to go up or down.

Which adventure are you going to choose?

This fun and entertaining activity is absolutely fantastic for the individual, friends, couples or as a group experience. You will be able to challenge yourself and set your own goals or be carried away by the group’s positive behaviour. There are plenty of opportunities to walk around or adapt an activity which you may not feel fully confident in doing.

Ghyll scrambling is great for people of all ages and levels of fitness. Furthermore, it’s a fantastic adventure to have on a rainy day. However, it should not be confused with canyoning. All trips are specifically organised around the adventure you want.

Free photographs are supplied, alternatively, you can hire a GoPro to record your adventure. Contact me for further information.
